Ambassador Liao Liqiang attended the launching ceremony of the China-Egypt "New Hope" breeding technology training

On August 11, the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, the National Alliance for Civil Action for Development (NACA), and New Hope Group jointly held a launching ceremony for the China-Egypt "New Hope" livestock farming technology training program in Subak Ahad Village, Manufiya Governorate. Over 100 people attended the ceremony, including Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang, Egypt's Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity Margaret, Secretary General of the Manufiya Governorate Government Abdullah, Director General of the NACA Nabila, New Hope Group's General Manager for Egypt Shao Wen, and participating women from the village.

Ambassador Liao Liqiang stated that under the leadership of President Xi Jinping and President Sisi, China-Egypt relations are at their best in history, continuously progressing toward the goal of building a community with a shared future for mankind in the new era. Under the strong leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping, the Chinese Party and government, adhering to a people-centered approach, have successfully won the battle against poverty, lifting all 800 million people out of poverty. President Sisi has consistently prioritized the people in his governance and national development, proposing initiatives such as "a decent life" for people's well-being and actively exploring a uniquely Egyptian approach to poverty reduction and governance. This training is an innovative practice that will support Egypt's poverty alleviation efforts and the economic empowerment of rural women, and will also enhance people-to-people bonds between China and Egypt.

Egypt highly commended China's remarkable achievements in poverty alleviation and expressed sincere gratitude for China's strong support for its rural poverty alleviation efforts. The Egyptian side stated that this training program is a vivid manifestation of the Egypt-China comprehensive strategic partnership at the grassroots level, and will open a "window of hope" for impoverished farmers in Manufiya Province to reduce poverty, increase income, and enhance their capacity for sustainable development. Egypt is willing to learn from China's poverty alleviation concepts and experience and expand cooperation in areas related to people's livelihoods.
