After listening to the speeches of the enterprise representatives, Li Qiang pointed out that it is not easy for Chinese enterprises to thrive overseas. We will continue to strengthen economic and trade cooperation with more countries, foster a favorable environment for Chinese enterprises' overseas operations and development, create more conditions and opportunities, and provide greater policy support for enterprises. In recent years, Chinese enterprises in Indonesia have maintained a strong momentum of development, playing a positive role in promoting economic cooperation between the two countries and fostering exchanges between the two peoples. I hope that everyone will continue to work hard, establish themselves in Indonesia and radiate to ASEAN, fully leverage their strengths to expand new markets, enhance the quality and efficiency of development, and promote Chinese products and services to the world. We must conscientiously fulfill our social responsibilities, adhere to compliant operations, better integrate into and actively promote local economic development, serve as friendly ambassadors of exchange between China and the outside world, and demonstrate greater achievements and achieve better development on the international stage.
Attendees expressed that in the face of the current uncertainties in the international economic and trade environment, Chinese enterprises should leverage their own strengths and characteristics, uphold the entrepreneurial spirit, actively respond to challenges, and continue to expand overseas markets. The China-Indonesia comprehensive strategic partnership continues to develop. Chinese companies operating in Indonesia are willing to seize opportunities to strengthen investment and cooperation in areas such as the green economy, connectivity, and supply chains, striving to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. New Hope Group's Liu Chang attended and spoke at a symposium for Chinese companies in Indonesia (According to CCTV News).
Ms. Liu Chang, Director of New Hope Group and Chairman of New Hope Liuhe Co., Ltd., and Yao Yongjian, General Manager of New Hope Liuhe Indonesia, attended the symposium.
In her speech, Chairman Liu Chang briefed Premier Li Qiang and the participating government and business representatives on New Hope's investment and development in Indonesia since 2006 and its achievements, as well as New Hope's commitment to mutually beneficial cooperation with local industry partners in Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries.
New Hope Group was one of the first private agricultural and animal husbandry enterprises to boldly "go global" after China's reform and opening up. After 25 years of overseas exploration, it has established an agricultural and animal husbandry industry chain covering 15 core countries along the Belt and Road Initiative. Of the group's 280 billion RMB in annual revenue, New Hope Liuhe (000876.SZ), a listed company in the agriculture and animal husbandry sector, has generated over 20 billion RMB in overseas revenue and boasts an annual overseas feed production exceeding 5 million tons, making it a leader among Chinese agricultural and animal husbandry companies expanding overseas.
New Hope Liuhe began its investment and development in Indonesia in 2006. To date, it has established 13 branches and subsidiaries, including nine feed mills, two corn drying plants, and a breeding base for nearly 500,000 breeding chickens. This has established a core industrial chain encompassing "raw materials - feed - breeding poultry - breeding - trade." With operations spanning Sumatra, Java, and Sulawesi, New Hope Liuhe consistently ranks among the top three in the industry in terms of scale. The Indonesian region produces 1.8 million tons of feed annually and markets 60 million poultry. Through partnerships with local Indonesian growers, feed companies, and breeding poultry companies, New Hope Liuhe generates an annual output value exceeding 7 billion RMB, directly and indirectly creating over 100,000 jobs.

As a major ASEAN country, Indonesia has experienced robust economic growth over the past decade. With a significant demographic dividend, proactive opening-up policies, and abundant natural resources, it is a core country in New Hope Liuhe's overseas development strategy. Going forward, New Hope Liuhe will continue to uphold the "Bandung Spirit" and deepen its investment in Indonesia. While expanding feed production capacity, it will also expand upstream poultry breeding and downstream food processing businesses. The company will deepen cooperation with industry partners in Indonesia and various Southeast Asian countries to provide high-quality livestock and poultry products to the ASEAN market, achieving win-win cooperation among all parties in this emerging market.
